I began disliking PETA once I came to know about the massive number of rescued animals they euthanize. Over time, my dislike for them grew whenever I found out about an interesting little "fact" about them, from their exaggeration of information, to their tendency to lie. But what really put me off them was when PETA, who prided themselves over having helped to pass a law illegalizing horse slaughter in America, switched sides six years later. Now they advocate for-profit horse slaughter! They can be so hypocritical it makes me sick. And don't get me started on the bad image that they put on the entire animal welfare/rights movement.

Now, BETA -- these guys are really hardworking. Despite the fact that they receive little funding, they do all they can for the animals taken in their care. They are always on-the-scene whenever there is an emergency (and you won't believe the kind of emergencies at times: stray (and sometimes even companion) dogs that have been shot, not unusually in the middle of the night). Not to mention the love they feel for the animals they rescue: each dog and cat is recognized as an individual, and treated as such. But they are also very dedicated in finding good homes for them.

I actually am not sure of his breed, and no, he is a grown dog However, I would agree that he has that sweet, puppy-dog-look in the eyes!
