Description In the novel I´m writing, children are sometimes disturbed by a night creature called Dream-Eater or Nightmare-Eater.

It´s an ethereal being that can show itself under many shadows, but when it gets a body, it looks like a small humanoid with sharp and big teeth and yellow, big and round glowing eyes, its body surrounded by smoke or ribbons of fog.

It´s not too dangerous, but very very annoying and scary for children. People can keep the Dream-eater away by putting an iron star with seven tips on the top of the children´s bed.

If it is a nightmare eater then I'd probably welcome it happily into my home.

Not so happy... It feeds on the fear that nightmares create, so that creature wants children to have more and more fear, and it can produce several mental damages to the poor baby if nobody pull them away with a star made of iron XD

Hhm... I thought it was more of a creature that eats nightmares so it'd be kind of like there being a spider in your house that eats flies.
