No, I never liked Elvis, mostly because all of his early music (and the music that made him famous) was written (and originally played) by Black artists. Elvis NEVER gave them one bit of credit for their music, and racists who normally woudn't have listened to Black music LOVED Elvis.
Surprisingly enough, the Rolling Stones used many works by the same artists but ALWAYS gave them credit. Of course, they didn't have to worry about sales in the American south to make a living.

I'm glad I come across as being so young. I guess I still think young as I try to keep current on music and other things (I used to ride BMX freestyle until my accident). As the saying goes, "I have to grow old, but I don't have to grow up!"
