fantastic textures and the way you've lined things upI also like the reductive approach to to the composition with bold, simplified shapes and solid blocks of colour

The day i took the picture and went home i saw on your blog the pictures of max regenberg who take pictures of such big billboards. There is allways someone who had an idea before you. I think i will keep it and do some more shots of billboards and der influence in puplic space. An other interesting thing are advertising columns. I like them but they are becoming rare. In my hometown are just about three..happy easter!

happy easter to you as well Mathew Pokoik has also done interesting things with advertising [link] and Matt Siber [link] yeah, no one is original. I think being authentic is a better aim than being original. And besides, no matter how much someone has explored a topic, there is always room for more or a different approach, and every approach will be different because the people and their point of views/backgrounds are different.Four or five years ago I took a picture of a house in fog at night, and I liked it so much that I wanted to do a series like it. I posted the picture and someone commented on it asking if I had heard of Todd Hido. I hadn't and when I saw his work it was everything I had envisioned but so much better. I decided not to make that series, and that was when I decided instead to shoot storefronts at night, something that had fascinated me since I was little and were the kind of pictures I liked looking at but rarely saw.
