My first pic. I have no Idea how to do this, but I'm trying.The reason why the pic. has just my usename with no "X" at the end is because I'm not use to this yet.(The Riolu in the picture jump and landed.I'm not that good at positions)

What shapes do you use when roughing out the riolu's body? Pokemon's anatomy is always killing me.

Well this pic is like, reaaaally old, so the anatomy is actually off.
I drew riolu recently and just sketched a base stick figure and used circles and cylinders to help flesh it out. I'm not very good at talking about anatomy tips ._." i'm more of a visual kind of person.

All I see is real world anatomy, so a pokemon's anatomy is really difficult to look at.

Pokemon is just simplified anatomy though. For riolu combine human and dog anatomy.

It does not work for me DX.
All I see are lines, and shapes and measurements. Even what should be curved comes out in a line. Ok... it's not that bad. Really what is really detracting from it all together is the failure of getting multiple positions on the head, and the eyes. The eyes always looks like it's staring at me.

The paws are a bit off but its hardly noticeable good work!

i like this one. you don't need to bring yourself down about it! ^^ this is my favourite riolu picture that i have ever seen here on deviantart!! i love this one and i think you did the pose wonderfully! ^^ i just think that everything about the picture is amazing!!!! i even love the simple background, y'know like it's just a colour and not some complicated picture. i really like it. it is a great one. seriously!!! ^^
