Description Alright I've been on a Halo Kick recently and all which got me doing some research which in turn spawned the idea for these two.  A pair of Spartans who fought on Reach and were some of the few to make it out

Log Spartan G296 Jayson:

"Well the therapist says that I should start writing personal logs. Says it'll help me adjust to my new situation. It can't hurt. Well where to begin? I'm Jayson. Spartan G296. Was part of the Spartan III program and it seems I've had some pretty bad luck. I mean that's not hard to tell. I'm a highly skilled highly trained, augmented Spartan and here I am sitting here unable to move my legs at all and stuck dumping in a diaper! Ok Bit much and probably confusing. Clarification is in order. Today me and Arthur visited the Reach Memorial. It brought up a lot of memories that for us are still kind of recent. See I was on team Scimitar and we were on Reach for some Ops Training.  They wanted us to get used to working with a different CO in very unfamiliar terrain. The CO to be was a Helljumper. He never gave us his name and we all could tell he didn't much care for us.  That didn't matter much as before our training Op could even start Reach was attacked by Covenant and our HellJumper friend wound up going down on our way to FleetComm. Took a Banshee plasma bolt to the face. He wasn't wearing his helmet. Me and the rest of the team continued on. We linked up with a Spartan II, Spartan 112 Arthur, who took command of our team. Now by this time things weren't looking good. We'd been fighting for a while before this and now we were fighting for most of the day to get the FleetComm base in a good enough situation where the Evac shuttles wouldn't be shot down.  By the time we did Brute forces were hitting us hard. But we just kept at it. All the training just kicked and we were all operating on it. Rarely having to actually think about anything just following orders and reacting as things changed. The one moment I did stop to think was when Arthur's shields dropped after he put down one with a gravity hammer and one of his fallen Buddies was going to take the shot. I was right next to him so I pushed over and shoved him out of the way and wound up taking the Spiker round myself. Tore clean through my armor and nearly severed my Spine. Lost muscle control of everything from the waist down. Still have sensation though. Not sure if it's a good or bad thing. I mean sure it's kinda nice but it does kind of suck when you feel yourself wetting your pants and can't do anything about it. Anyway Arthur Got me out of there.  There was only me and two other people from the team. We got out of there and wound up on a Very old Ship called the Valiant. It suffered some sort of critical nav malfunction and it's primitive AI spent years with us in Cryo Jumping in and out of slipstream trying to get us to Earth. That only ended when a Colonial Scouting vessel found us, thawed us out and brought us back to Earth. Five Years later.  Arthur and I had a month to get to know each other on the ride to Earth.  He's a great guy. But I guess the IIs are full of Greats. The Master Chief for example. He was offered a position in the Spartan IV program but turned them down. Decided to stick with me. We're still on Earth. Live near the HighComm Base. Arthur's been overseeing training of troops. He says he finds it oddly fulfilling. Said something about a Mendez. Me. Well I've got a flair for the technical aside from being the top rated sniper of my team. So I'm working on some AI stuff that I can't go into for reasons of classification and all. It is nice loosing myself in a problem to be solved. It's just visiting the memorial today made it all come back. All those people on Reach dieing like that. Losing half the team. That sound Lara made when the Gravity hammer hit her head. Yeah.  Well I guess this is where I leave off here. Not much else to say other than the IVs are damn lucky to have actual MJOLNIR armor. Wish I'd been lucky enough to have something with shields. Oh well. Least I got a top of the line Anti-Grav chair. And mine's not obviously compensating for something with a giant gold antler set on the back."

Well hope you guys liked the pic and the lil story.
