Description
Here's my Raptor character Spencer. I can almost never settle on exactly how I wanna do him and here I was trying to air closer to scientific accuracy and making him pretty feathery. Think it turned out nicely enough but it's a look I didn't wind up sticking with and I'm still experimenting.
Spencer stretched and yawned as he rolled over inside the tent. He could make out sunlight just starting to peek it's way through the tent. It must have been early morning. Spencer smiled a bit as he usually didn't get up this early but with hiking and general exploring they'd been doing he was too beat to stay up very late last night. He sat up in his sleeping bag and stretched a bit more and gave a smile to the Sabertooth that laid in the sleeping bag next to his own as a pacifier bobbed rhythmically in the feline's muzzle. Next to him laid a grey folf arms wrapped round a plush Utah Raptor. Spencer got up quietly with just faint crinkles and a squish from his soggy diaper and got out of the tend. Standing outside he took in the view of the small clearing they were in and the sun slowly making it's way above the tree tops. He took a deep breath and fluffed his feathers momentarily as he stretched. Just as he did so he heard the Tent next to theirs unzip and out popped his uncle Savan.
"Morning Uncle." Spencer smiled putting a foot on the long that served as a bench that night.
"Good morning Spence. Sleep well?" Savan asked as he walked over to the fire pit and started working on getting a new fire going.
"Like a hatchling." Spencer grinned back.
"In more ways than one I see." Savan smirked back as Spencer continued to grin though blushed ever so faintly.
"So what's on today's list?" Spencer asked hopping over the log and sat down with a soggy squish.
"Well lets see. First breakfast, than changes I suppose." Savan answered trying not to smile at the young teen's look of frustration.
"Well duh. You know what I mean though." Spencer said shaking his head.
"Well how about we get in some fishing? Catch a little something for dinner?" Savan offered as he got the fire going.
"Sure out on the lake with the boat?" Spencer asked leaning forward watching the fire slowly grow as his uncle tended it.
"My thoughts exactly." Savan nodded just as he heard rustling from the tent behind Spencer before his cousin and best bud made their way out of the tent rubbing their eyes and yawning.
"Morning guys. How'd my kitty and lil cuz sleep?" Spencer asked with a grin and ruffled their headfur as they sat down on either side of him.
"Good." Lowell answered simply still holding his plushie.
"Mmmhmm." Sabe mumbled and yawned still waking up.
"Sounds like you two are still nearly asleep. Well breakfast will wait you up." Savan said as he put the metal stand over the fire and then the frying pan followed by some bacon. That got the two to perk up. There'd be joking and snacking and sailing the lake today and there may even be a little swimming on "accident" of course. But first breakfast to get the three all woken up an energized as the sun rose over camp.
Well hope you guys liked the pic and the lil story. ^^
