Description Custom My Little Pony villain character “Kuja” as seen in the Final Fantasy IX video game on the Play Station.

---NO LONGER AVAILABLE---

Pony base is a engineered pose from two different generation 3 ponies. Body of a ugly pose, head of a dynamic pose.

Full body repaint in antique parchment-colored acrylic paint.
Eyes textured/layered in acrylics pigments for realistic expressionism for Kuja’s character.

Mane/tail re-rooted in RestoreDoll hair in the color fairy lights (green/purple low lights), RetrodollUS’s saran hair in the color called Opal (purple/blonde under tones), and dollyhair’s gray and blue colors called raincloud and arctic frost.
Mane permanently styled in my hair gel method. Finished with plumes of gray and purple feathers.

Outfit: started off with the bottom-most layer of the boots. Thin black deer skin leather. Then did the pants- thick black elk leather with black ribbon texture. Made another panel on the pants of this textile of which I folded over to make it appear like two layers.
Rest of the boots- pinned black belt leather for the base of the sole to give shape to the pointed boots. Then did another layer of the thick black elk leather overtop then glued gray wide ribbon overtop for the metallic layer. Then lined the soles with strips of silver leather.
Gold buckles are shaped with pliers from gold wire.

White train is a thin white cotton material. I double the size of it, sewed around the edges then turned it inside out to get the round puffy affect. Individual cut the gold pieces from gold ribbon trim, and glued them to the train with fabric glue. Used metallic pewter acrylic paint to dot the details on each piece. Two strips of black ribbon used as his belts.

White sleeves are hand-sewn from a wide white satin ribbon. Neck collar pieces are thick black leather with gold trim glued around the edges with fabric glue. He has 3 different layers of collars. Various gold material and trims used for the under-layer across his chest then a gray ribbed ribbon with a silver zig-zag trim glued over top.

Shoulder armor is constructed from a base of thick yellow leather. I cut circles, made 3 slits in the circles then over-lapped the slits to raise the roundness.
I then too 3 strips of silver leather strips and carefully layered them onto the circular mounds and glued them in place with fabric glue. Finished with detailing of silver metallic rhinestones.

Kuja! I developed a real soft spot after Dissidia. The feathers and red eye makeup is a nice touch, what I admire about your MLP/FF mods is that you really know, and pay attention, to the finer details of the FF characters. So often I've seen very generic Seph, Kuja or Seymour ponies where someone's just slapped on some silver hair and a vague representation of their costume but you always include the little unique touches. Very well done!

Thanks~ the unique details of Final Fantasy are what drew me most to the series, and I strive to carry out that same feeling through my art. It took quite a few years to get it right, but I knew what I was after in improving methods~ expression and presentation of detail were #1.

With the characters I enjoy most, you'll notice that over the years I end up making around 3 different versions of them. Over time I look back over my work and feel that it could be done better so I try to out-do myself. XD

"Show myself up" is a way one could look at it.

I should do an updated version... thanks for the idea! I did one commission of one back in 2009 but I feel I need to do it much better.

KUUUUJAAAAAAA! <3 I love the fact his clothes are cloth and not sculpted on, and you even included the camp feather-things in his hair!
