The ground beneath them seemed to shatter as it began slipping off either side of the mountain. Their loud antics had caused an avalanche and there was nowhere they could go to escape but that certainly didn't stop them from trying.

Everyone stopped fighting. The piebald male released Atoya and stepped away from her to snarl at the moving snow as the wild female flipped to her stomach to try and get to her feet before it was too late. Diagrams circled back over to Atoya, determined to reach her before they fell.

He didn't.
