Look on the bright side. With Disney's creative team and Marvel's talented people, there's no way WB and DC could defeat them. Let's just hope Marvel Comics didn't fall to the All Ages rate.

I'm afraid that they might sugar coat it, and change everything from the comics to the screen when adapt movies come out.

My wish is that MARVEL becomes the EDGIEST of the sugar-coated offerings out there.

If Disney is smart, they will touch the Marvel brand. Maybe the could have Pixar 3D animations of the Marvel characters.

..riiight...because they did a great job with TARZAN or ATLANTIS.
Did you know that before Disney, Snow White was a tale so dark tha Alan Moore would shudder at it and Vertigo wouldn't publish it?
'The Little Mermaid' is actually a sad, tragic tale with no singing crabs to be seen.
At least MARVEL's Hercules knows that is family is a bunch of crazy Gods and woluld NEVER allow himself to be voice-acted bt Ricky Martin in a movie.
Hmm, there's potential for another image in that tought alone.

Some people pointed out the potential for awesome if we had pixar animated MARVEL...but I have trouble trusting them to not fuck it all up.

I always wanted a "Vintage" Fantastic Four movie ever since i saw 'The Incredibles' for the first time. The kid-friendly approach is what worries me most. I know we do not need to see Spidey cussing and super-powered rapists (unless it is an essential part of a story) but I am afraid that what made MARVEL my favorite is their willingnes to atract adult followers to it's universe.

Well it is worth noting that disney owns MIRAMAX and they still made DOGMA and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back...and Disney is a business, a lucrative one that should be smart enough to realize that you can have your kid's stuff and your more grown-up stuff, and that it isn't always a good idea to f-ck with a winning formula just to make it fit with the kiddies.
I still get kinda nervous though whenever Disney buys anything...seems they wanna monopolize without actually monopolizing, y'know?
Apparently Stan is pretty excited.
