Good level horizon. The DOF is perfect. A little on the front, a lot on the back, and the focal point is tight (even the left paw is slightly blurred) and exactly where it should be. Bit of glare in the eyes. Adorable subject and moment. I like the bit of maroon color in the left background. It goes well with the pale green of the foreground material and helps to create a sense of that old natural 'blue/red' light depth effect. This was likely a fast shot (before the kitten moved) but you captured it very well.

Thank you for your comments, very much appreciated. Yes, it was an extremely fast shot taken from halfway down the stairs and between the railing just outside of the room. She was already curious as to what I was doing, and right after the shot, picked up her head...timing is everything
