Backing down Royal Gorge - on the way up I was lucky enough to ride in the cab!!

We did - had reservations in the dining car for the trip back down - yeah, I don't think so...not when there was an open air car at the back to ride in and shoot!!

It was, picture a Pullman car from the 50's with the roof chopped off, and no benches or seats. Basically a rolling platform with sides - great place to shoot unobstructed shots from, except for the other people in the car that is....

Oh no, max speed is maybe 15mph - it's strictly a sight-seeing run, about 10 miles long - hour up and an hour back. And they stop the train directly under the Royal Gorge bridge on purpose for the Kodak moment!

It is an absolute must do! Save up and buy the cab ride, too
