P-20 “Pistolier” combat frames were produced en masse during the Proxima war and surplus frames flooded the market after the Proximan surrender. As a result of their reliability and easily-replaced modular limbs, they became highly valued as bounty-hunting drones in the post-war period, and Pistoliers with retrofitted parts and mismatched weapons became a common site on border worlds dealing frontier justice.Related content

I’m actually quite fond of narratives like that that are more like multiple short stories held together by an overarching plot like the Illustrated Man of the books of Simon Stålenhag so now I’m looking forward to it even more! Just take your time though, there’s no need to rush it and sometimes, other things just get in the way and that’s completely alright

Yeah, he really is amazing! I actually just started re-reading the Martian Chronicles recently and I just love how imaginative and off the wall it is. In my opinion, he is one of the best at creating vivid imagery with his writing. (but maybe I’m a bit biased since Fahrenheit 451 is one of my all-time favorite books)
I have read Electric State and Tales from the Loop which I could both recommend. They are very atmospheric books and he does a great job at making everything feel very grounded and real despite the fantastical scifi elements. Tales from the Loop is also a series now. I have only seen the first two episodes but I could recommend it as it translates the themes from the book very well and it takes its time to really create and develop the mood and characters.
