IN PROGRESS. Once this is finished I\'ll put up the final product. For now here it is. Acrylic paint + collage.Based off the song entitled Space Monkey by Placebo.
Space monkey in the place to be
Riding in a rocket to a planet of sound
shooting the moon, playing dominoes in drag
An increase in population of a hundred percent

with a chemical peel and a picture of Mary
out on a limb in the carnival of me
raising the temperature one hundred degrees

she's born to mesmer

I die inside her

completely meretricious of a poke in the eye

I rarely like collages, but I'm DEFINITELY taken with this. Love the Pollockian drips of paint, too.

Oh thank you! That's such a wonderful comment to wake up to. I have fun with textures and color, collages have become my favorite thing to do. I have tweaked this one and so I hope this weekend to have the final stage posted soon, so keep an eye out. ^_^

This is the mad awesomeness! Love the sopng too, I knew there had to be someone protraying the "sewn together" imagery from the song. ^_^ Nice going, can't wait to see this finished, great job!

Oh thank you! Sorry for the late reply. It's one of my favorite Placebo songs---so when I heard it----it struck my artist's heart. I had to do something with it. I hope to finish it soon! I will post when I am. So keep a look out. Glad I was one portraying that "sewn together" imagery---they made a hell of visual song in that one. Thanks again.

Thank you. I need to get back to it. I haven't painted on it in a week or so. *Punches self* I promised myself I'd finish it, so I need to do so. Been spending all my time on my sketchbook renderings.

It's looking pretty good so far. It's surreal, and I really like the variety of colors used.

Yeah, I just need to finish it. Get in more detail. I'm starting to eliminate more than with past collages, so I like the direction this one is taking. More shapely, more subdued colors.

Intriguing is good yeah? I like creating things that still withhold some beauty even if at first glance it makes someone go "uhhh what?" There is beauty in everything.

hehe...yeah, intriguing is definitely good. It sets me thinking what the picture might mean. It's got a different meaning for each person. I just love to see things from different angles. And yes, there is beauty in everything.
