Description Those two creeps are me and my boyfriend. We were at the Elf Fantasy Fair in Haarzuilens this sunday, wearing Post-Apocalyptic themed costumes. Our costumes weren't very populair; noone took pictures of us besides this one. The thing is, girls with skirts, dresses and other sexy outfits are the only one getting pictures by both male and female photographers. What the fuck people? I don't think these costumes were bad at all.

Gas mask was mine, worn by my boyfriend. It's a modern Dutch gas mask. I'm not sure whether it is used for military or police.

My Jake costume contained a hand-made tail, ears and claws. The outfit was just a shirt which I 'edited' and the shoes were borrowed from my mom. The hat was bought, goggles were handmade and there was also a bandana around my head. I had quite a few belts, an army bottle, 'edited' gloves, knee and arm pad, chains, an infusion from the hospital, injection needle, airsoft gun - which was part of my boyfriend's costume but I stole it, a colored contact, fake wounds, fake blood and a few other details.

I think the costumes are great!

The only little thing id change is, if its apocalypse themed maybe distress the clothing a bit more?

Nice dat je er ook was! Ik vind dit kostuum nu al weer zwaar kut haha. Volgende keer doe ik een veeeeel beter kostuum. Ga je ook naar Arcen? Heel erg bedankt trouwens.

oh, it's really hard when you put so much effort in something and the people just don't see it... i don't know the characters you depict, but the costumes are ok...
i had 100% of the people taking photos of my costume in the early 90s... look...

That looks absolutely and utterly AWESOME!
And meh.. I dislike skirts and dresses. Just... Dislike them.
But your costumes both look really cool! I can see the efford you put into yours and that really paid off. Some people are just... Blind... or something

Pfft, people have no taste. >:U I know sexy outfits are appealing and shit but you also gotta look at originality. Sheesh!

I love the costumes, they're even more awesome than how I expected them to be!

Also, I think you mean 'customized' when you typed 'edited'. Just nitpicking here but I thought you wanted to know.

True. It's kind of sad though, because I worked hard on this costume just like many others. Those costumes are sometimes amazing but they just don't get attention. Thanks a lot though!

Whoa now that is some SERIOUS cosplay!! The photo looks great too.

Sorry to hear the attention was on the sex-sellin' stuff :/ It goes for art, advertisements, TV shows, anything I guess.
Here's to say, there are always people (me included!) who have a broader, deeper sense of taste.

Because it was the theme haha. I think Steampunk is awesome but too mainstream. I refuse to wear skirts and dresses and other sexy stuff, even though that means noone wants to take pictures. D:
