she did a nice job. she gives it a good degree of depth. you should let her know that a greater contrast of shadows and highlights will bring a piece more to life because although i see darker grays and brighter highlights there's this gray middle that she sticks with. Lookin good though, tell her it's some damn fine work.
Being an art student and a guy who used to hate coloring anything at all, i gotta say that you should really learn to shade for yourself. the linework does look good but shading isn't something one usually passes off to another artist. Line work looks pretty good but it is buried in your friends shading.

XD I disagree. With or without shading, it's a really good piece. I can't draw anatomy very well, and I don't have the patience to do backgrounds/settings like that.
