I always thought how boring selkies were, and how they were very similar in nature. That's why i decided to give them a small makeover

Desiryee is nothing like in the series, she very flirty and romantic, and the most confident one of the selkies. She is very sarcastic. For a selkie it's a honor to be bonded with a person trying to get sirenix* so she takes pride from that. She is very fierce protector of nature. One of the ocean gate keepers of Linphea, the one who is most cunning. Bonded selkie of Flora.

Lithia has a thirst for adventure. She doesn't have any fear of death, being always the one to head first into battle. Though she is very social and bold selkie, she speaks in logical tone, making it fun to follow her. She comes along Desiryee the best, both love the humour of the other. One of the ocean gate keepers of Zenith, the one who has the most magical power and technical intelligence. Bonded selkie of Tecna.

Lemmy is the oldest of selkies, having lived for over 200 years. She is wise, gentle and calm, giving off a relaxing aura. Lemmy is (not usual for selkies) close with mer people of Andros, and many come to seek her advice. Lithia gave her a nickname "Queen Sage". Lemmy is the "mom" of selkies. She is the main keeper of Andros' ocean gate, the one who has fame reaching to the other realms. Bonded selkie of Aisha.

Sonna is the most mysterious one out of the six selkies. She doesn't speak much, only smiles eerily most of the time, like she knows something others don't. She has enchanting singing voice and she lets only a few hear her sing. Sonna is the only ocean gate keeper of Melody, for reasons unknown. Bonded pixie of Musa.

Illiris is the sweetest selkie out of them. She is kind and shy, but her shy nature hides a radiant personality. She is closest with Serena, talking with her the most. She curious in nature, but approaches things cautiously. She spends more time above the water than other selkies, her sunbased powers allow her to be above the water when sun is shining. One of the ocean gate keepers of Solaria, the most loved one. Bonded selkie of Stella.

Serena is the most talkative one out the selkies, probably due to being frozen along with other citizens of Domino for a long time. She has a big thirst for knowledge, even wanting to read books that normal people use. She is nice to everyone, but can be a bit bossy (doesn't notice this herself), but Bloom only finds Serena's big attitude cute. Serena is actually one of the youngest ocean gate keepers of Domino, but her growing magical powers make her a great candidate to being leader of Dominian gate keepers.

In my head canon each selkie gets tattoes representing the power or personality of their bonded person. Selkies also receive some of their bonded fairies magical energy, making them stronger than other selkies, and that power stays withing them until their bonded person dies.

*Selkies can bond with any person who is in harmonix transformation/seeking power of sirenix. Sirenix is an ancient power, and can be achieved by fairies, witches and sorcerors alike, but for some reason many believe it to be fairy-only transformation. The look of Sirenix is different to all three.
