Description Beautiful, feminine and possibly radioactive. I named this set after the great female scientist Marie Curie who worked with Radioactive elements.

Made from a mixture of silver plate, brass and copper findings this set features rare pale green vintage glass stones and beads that fluoresce in black light. I am not certain that the stones are uranium glass but they are very old, from broken pieces of jewelry, and they do glow a greenish yellow in black light like vaseline glass does. The glittering pale green stones surround a metal cameo and intricate antique brass roses. The necklace closes with a lobster claw clasp and is very adjustable so it will work with a number of necklines.

You can see it glowing here: [link]

Haven't checked but I doubt it's more than background anyway. The uranium in actual vasoline glass is only dangerous if the glass becomes shattered to powder & inhaled.

Haha, brilliant! They have her notes sealed in lead because they were so radioactive, and apparently when she died she herself was radioactive.

Just discovered Vaseline glass, seriously cool!
