Description An oldie that I recolored (the old colors were way too saturated for my taste). I've had this for a while. Done for Illustration class in '04, Shakespeare Poster.

Who is this character? Titania? Awesome painting, I love the way her hair becomes a stream, very clever

I really like this picture you drew a lot. Mostly it reminds me of the poem Stolen Child by W.B. Yeats. Mostly it is Midsummer's hair flowing as a river with fish in it.

W.B. Yeat's poem read:
"Where the wandering water gushes
From the hills above Glen-Car,.
In pools among the rushes
That scarce could bathe a star,
We seek for slumbering trout
And whispering in their ears
Give them unquiet dreams;
Leaning softly out
From ferns that drop their tears
Over the young streams."

Really brilliant. I love how you set the watchers in the background by making them all blue, looks more interesting than making them blurry. I'll have to try that technique, it seems very sophisticated.

The colors are perfect. I love the pinkish/purplish tinge of the clouds and her hair, and I think the huge creature on the left has the coolest face ever. n_n

amazing work!
Your shakespeare interpretation is beautiful and acertive
I like how youΒ΄ve separeated the main subject from the others keeping all the animals in the same color.
I think the best of this image is her hair turning into a river with little fishes!!!!!!!! too much!!!
and the little heart on that animals tail is so cute.

Midsummer nightΒ΄s dream is my favourite shakespeare play!
I actually stared in it on my last school year as PUK (oberonΒ΄s right hand) and I had so much fun doing it.
we had to choose a play, adapt the script, do the wardrobe, makeup and stage. so I was quite busy trying to take part in all those departments and memorizing my lines (wich were a lot!!!)

Ah. My favourite play by Shakespeare. I love the colours, and her dress.

I was wondering, what program do you use?

I do all the inking by hand and color in Photoshop...Pretty simple, really. My brain can't handle complicated thought processes.

Pretty. The colors of the girl blend well with the blues, but set her apart at the same time. I love all the little creatures watching her sleep.
