That collar is so cute, can only imagine the award stares one would get if they had Greninja's tongue scarf though. XD

Hehe I've made silly mistakes like that. XD
I've been pretty good! I haven't finished too many projects lately, so I haven't posted anything in a while. I've got one project I've been struggling with, and it's been killing my crafting moods. >.>

OMG, don't you hate that ONE project that just sucks the life of your motivation?! UGH, I totally feel you as I have that on a few craft commish but way worst when it was drawing commish back in the day. What's the project that is killing you slowly? If it's a hush-hush project until post, I totally understand if you want to mention it. But whatever it is, hope you kick it in the butt!

Yeees, I hate it! There's a few other things I'd like to work on, but I don't like to start new projects knowing I have one going that needs to be worked on... Even if I can't get the motivation to touch it! I finally powered through the last couple days to work on it a bit, though.
It's a Protoman shield for a friend. I had made the armor parts of a Megaman costume for another friend years ago, and his best friend loves Protoman, and asked if I'd make him the same parts in red for his own costume. I said sure, no problem! Then he asked if I thought I could make a shield as well. I was like "Suuure, that doesn't look too hard." 7
>.> Ugh. Most stressful project ever. I had never worked with foam before(though I cut it at work often), so I underestimated how much of a pain it is. I had asked what type of fabric he'd like as a covering, and we agreed that duck canvas would be sturdy. Well, it is sturdy, yes, but it turned out to be impossible to get the big foam slab stuffed into the darn thing! So I bought new fabric, this time a shiny-ish looking knit. The covering turned out a lot nicer, though you could kind of see the greenish tint of the foam behind the white knit. Plus, how were we supposed to hold the thing; the heavyness of the foam would pull from the fabric while being held by the strap in the back! Sooo I got some industrial strength spray adhesive. I also underestimated how messy that is, and I hope the warning to not get it in contact with skin isn't too strict, as I got it allllll over my hands. But yeah, after some intense stuffing, gluing, handsewing the giant gap needed to stuff, more gluing... I think it's just about done. I still can't say it looks good, but it's waaaay better than my first attempt. >.>
And now I just need to do the original armor parts of the costume. lol
