“Volo, he caused the space-time rift to appear above Mount Coronet, hoping it would cause Almighty Arceus to descend and correct the issue. After learning about the life plates, Volo began his expedition. On the search for the plates, Volo tried to overcome the many alpha pokemon scattered through out Hisui, however he couldn’t handle their power. As desperate as he was to meet Arceus, it wasn’t enough to make his way through the region safely. While in the Alabaster Icelands, he stumbled upon Alpha Machamp hoping it would have the Fist Plate. He decided to challenge it to a battle, but due to lack of experience, his Togekiss and the rest of his team were no match for Machamp’s powerful punches. He then proceeded to lob pokeballs at the Alpha Pokemon which just enraged it further. Instead of calling upon Giratina, he gave up on chasing the rest of the plates and decided to run for his life back to Jubilife Village.
