Description this is Kaldri! A dnd character of mine I hope to be playing in the near future! For backstory: Kaldri is an 11 year old Wild magic sorcerer, who may be a child- but is extremely powerful. In the dnd universe, not actually canon but in kaldris world it is, Kaldri was raised by the Moon weaver Sehanine. But I'll start from the beginning: 300 years ago, there was a cult that did a ritualistic sacrifice at a cave. This cave is hidden in the walls of a mighty cliff, and on the cliff is a church, but I'll get to that in a bit. When the cult did this sacrifice, the sacrifice-ees soul was incased in the biggest crystal in the cave- The cave is full of many Crystal's, small ones, towering ones, crystals of all types of variations adorned the walls of this might cave, but the most interesting one is the one in the middle, in the very far back of the cave. it had a lilac hue to it, and interestingly, it looks like it has crystal roots growing into the cave. The soul of the one sacrificed was transported into this magnificent crystal, and stayed their.. and developed. Over time, the cult completely died out. And now we jump to 11 years ago to the present time in kaldris story. A priest of the church on the cliff, Called Caldar, was taking a stroll on the beach near the cave, when he heard the noices of what sounded like a babys laughter and glass shattering. puzzled, he hurried to see what it was. Inside the cave, Caldar found a 6 month old baby, wrapped in a bundle of lilac cloth, as to cover its unclothed body. the child had two stumps on its head that were most likey undeveloped horns, one blue and and one purple, and had.. alot of frizzy hair, more than a normal 6 month old would. Caldar felt an air of.. mystery and.. godly ness in this child. So, he felt as though the best thing to do would be to do a ritual to summon the god he worshipped- Sehanine, the moon weaver. Caldar was high up in the church, so he could directly contact Sehanine. So he did, and Sehanine confirmed this child was definitely godly. As Sehanine is described in the dungeons and dragons lore as aloof and secretive, she would most likely not tell the other gods, but would probably tell only one god, and that would be the dawn father, who is technically not just her boss, but all the other gods boss as well. Sehanine agreed to raise Kaldri as her own, but due to her jobs, Sehanine decided that she would focus on teaching Kaldri how to control her magic and studies, while Caldar would be her primary caretaker in the basis of feeding her, playing with her, all the parenting stuff. Sehanine trusted Caldar with this duty. Wait, Kaldri has powers? Yes. But no ordinary powers. Destructive powers. Chaotic. powers. Because, Kaldri is no ordinary child: She is the LITERAL EMBODIMENT of 'childhood chaos'. The chaos that doesn't intend to hurt anyone, the kind that just does what it once, any impulse it gets, because it has a childish mindset. it just wants to have FUN. THAT'S what Kaldri is. And that's why Sehanine wants to help kaldris powers, because even though Kaldri is a child, she is literally chaos, meaning she could hurt others around her, and most likely herself. So Sehanine hoped to be the one to mold Kaldri in the right direction. But, unfortunately.. someone had OTHER plans for Kaldri~
(That's all! Haha. I'll write some more about Kaldri when I show more art of her soon!!)
Fun fact: Kaldri's colours are based of the hues you can get in sunsets!!! ))
