I didn't discover "digital art" until after I graduated high school! I taught myself how to use Adobe Photoshop over ten years ago now, and just recently started teaching myself how to use Poser and Daz Studio, both of which are 3D rendering programs done on a computer. If you know absolutely nothing about 3D art or computer painting programs, then I won't go into detail here.
Digital art is very different from pen and paper, but it's getting easier to merge the two together, with all the new programs coming out, and digital drawing tablets that people use.

I have a "Trust" wireless scroll tablet ( [link] ) , but it is still too annoying for me to use properly, so I still use my right hand and mouse to draw with in photoshop, but normally I paint and write with my left hand.

Daz Studio is a free 3D rendering program [link] that i use instead of Poser.
Adobe Photoshop is the software I use to complete my artwork.
