Splatoon

Tantor did not participate in Turf Wars when Inkopolis Plaza was the popular hub. Rather, he spends his time studying during the two years and learning the ropes about everything. Since he was mostly home-schooled, the only time he's out in the open is either running errands or working part-time. Because of this, hardly any one knew him and look onwards. Being apart of a huge family, Quavion chose not to compete against his older brothers, but heavily dislikes. This was due to his brothers staging a tiger shrimp attack in a zoo (increasing their clout), leaving Tantor with permanent scars. Not to mention how they treat him as an "errand boy" and would often steal his crushes.

Splatoon 2

Tantor is the only inkling in the SplatSquad to begin his battling career in Inkopolis Square rather than Inkopolis Plaza. This is because he preffered to continue studying an extra two years of school specifically for battling purposes. So when he first started, you could barely even tell he's actually a newbie. This is what led Jackie to take him as their last member of Blue Wavers. Tantor is very quiet and introverted so he follows his captain with nothing to object, add, or say. Overtime, he soon opens up a bit more, but shows a great connection with his teammates. In terms of his family, it finally comes to light that the tiger shrimp incident was orchestrated by his brothers. While they are now disowned, Tantor doesn't give much attention to his parents; he just comes and goes and would rather spend time with the Blue Wavers. After The Final, Tantor gains a crush on Elisa after watching a band performance featuring Jackie's step-brother, Daku.
