I think "Rabbit" translated over to "Cat" in Vietnamese because the Chinese word for Rabbit is "Mao" (Not entirely sure about which dialect is this word from) which sounds a lot like "Meo", the Vietnamese word for Cat. Anyways, my personal interpretation.
