BEHIND THE MASK

Koyuki knew this was a bad idea. Dororo was sure to sense her.
But still...
After all the years they spent together, the curiosity built and built.
Now it was just simply unbearable.
Irresistible, to put more accurately.
And so, Koyuki hid.
She opened the door just the tinniest of cracks and peered through it.
Dororo was in the room. His back was turned to the door, so he couldn't see her.
But, with his ninja skills, he might still be able to sense her.
Koyuki knew this very well, and so she didn't even allow one breath to slip past her lips.
It seemed as if Dororo didn't know she was there, though.
He reached to the back of his head.
He started to untie the knot of his grey mask.
Koyuki opened the door just a little more.
For years, she had never glimpsed Dororo's real face. The face behind the mask.
And now...
The mask slipped from his face, and into his hands.
He turned around.
Koyuki saw it.
Behind Dororo's mask was another mask.
Koyuki erupted.
"A MASK?! SERIOUSLY?! ANOTHER BLOODY MASK?!"
She suddenly burst into the room and slapped Dororo
"THAT WAS FOR GETTING MINE- AND THE AUDIENCES- HOPES UP!"
"B-But it's not my fault!" Dororo pleaded "Go blame Lil' Toad! She's the one who thought this up!"
Lil' toad apologised to the audience for getting their hopes up.
