Bri-chan pointed out that today (10/6) is Hatter Day! This is my contribution on short notice -- a couple of sketches I've had hanging around.I feel like Reggie's hats would be all over the map in style, from the understated to the absurd. I've always wanted a big crazy hat with a ship on it, and I bet Reg would whip up something gorgeous.
On the right he's being all broody and Mr. Darcy in his Regency coat and wee ponytail. No doubt filled with lovesick consternation for Alice, that problematic doxy. Will he go striding, Heathcliffe-like, across the gabled moors in search of her, only to be distracted by a squirrel? TIME WILL TELL.

That hat would break your neck. O.O Though I did see one old timey one with a peacock on it-and the peacock had CANNONS in front of it! Two of them! The thing was MASSIVE. I can't imagine it being practical under any means-unless the cannons actually worked and it was supposed to be a means of stylishly smiting your enemies, with the added bonus that their family would have to deal with the humiliation of their family member having been dispatched by a hat.
...I want one now.

I was so mad when I went to Disneyland in August- I was going to get a mad hatter hat but they were all out! They were going to restock the entire park that night we were leaving. How unfair.

Ha ha! ;D You guys are seriously awesome. I'll tell you something: I started to redraw the whole thing. I'd done it the first time on inferior paper and it was really subpar. I guess I got so far into it that I thought I couldn't start over, but it's worth it. At least, I really hope it's worth the wait. You guys have been ridiculously patient. Thank you for the encouragement!

I've been really pining for the WCMI stuff, Reg always makes me smile (or swoon!)
I love your versions of all things Hatter and Alice related because you always manage to get so much emotion into the picture 
Reg being all Mr. Darcy is defiantely deserves some fan-girl sighs

Also, I bet after posing for this portrait (or even during) he would turn towards the artist and make silly faces at them when they weren't looking. Ah, yes, that would be about right...^-^

The Ship Hat, but of course! I need to gather the materials, and then there will be a hat. May make a birdcage one while I'm at it, just cause, you know, who doesn't want a birdcage hat? Or a teapot? Oh dear...I seem to have caught a Reggie Bug...symptoms consist of squirell hallucinations and outrageous hat making!
And I conqur on the Alice's affection theory. But would Reginald be the type to think of such a tactic?
