I finished up Supernatural's Season 6 last night, and oh man. I am riding a bull-moose rollercoaster of feels for Castiel. When he’s sitting on that park bench in the snow, begging for a sign from a totally absent father… Well, everybody tells you this show is going to break your heart, but I guess you’ve just got to find out for yourself.I don't love this. This was my first try, then I started over, hated that and came back to this. So maybe I'm just overexposed to it, but I feel like it could be a lot better. I just wanted to do some straight ink, totally as an excuse to use some of the many halos I've been doodling, but I ended up using ones I've already used before, just because I like these so much. The best halos look like metal and armor, I think.

There's something about this one that drives me nuts, it's so off, and I CANNOT figure out what it is. I come back to this thing over and over trying to tweak it so it looks right, but it just doesn't. But thank you, I didn't mean to brush off your comment. C: I'm glad you like this.
Seasons 6 and 7 are heartbreakers, but there are so many funny ones, too! There's some great stuff ahead of you.

Hmm. Maybe it's the shading on his right cheek that makes his face look slightly chubby? That's the only thing I can see, and it's not even that noticeable. But then it's easier a lot of the time to spot flaws in your own stuff. Not everything you do needs to be perfect to be enjoyed, anyway. c:

His eyes and mouth are perfectly Misha but his mouth is a little off. I think the simplicity of colors is lovely. I've been leaning towards more muted colors in my own art so it's nice to see a bright pop of yellow in yours! You're a bold kind of girl.
Have you delved into Misha Collins' personal life at all? He's a trip, but a good one, for sure.

I keep looking at this and trying to figure out how I could fix it, but I can't even tell what it is exactly that's so off. Like, his mouth is off, but how? It's driving me nuts, and I've just had to make peace with it. I hate that!
Oh man, when I saw that his wife had written a book, I was so excited, and then I see the title, and my face was a hilarious amalgam of like, Super Impressed but also Not Sure If Want. Then my friend, who loves the book, tells me apparently it was their thing for a while, and I just had to throw my hands up and laugh. Like, of course. Of course it was.
I don't know a ton about him, but he seems like the kind of guy where nothing would really surprise me. Go ahead and blow my mind! I'm always up for some Misha Facts.

As for the conversation you were having the other day (oops I snooped) about why people did/didn't like it? Overall, the plot was kind of "WHAT IS GOING ON WHY WHAT HUH" and didn't seem very connected. That probably made it easier to draw in new viewers though because then they wouldn't be getting tossed into this crazy complicated thing where you'd have to be remembering tons of stuff to catch hints and all that. Lots of random chases because they couldn't really do much about the new buddies that were fresh out of Purgatory.
Like...the original gameplan for Supernatural was the five seasons. But it ended up going longer and stuff so they had to come up with new plot arcs and all that jazz so I feel like after 5 it was a bit of a scramble to figure out everything and come up with new stuff. But I mean, there's the whole Purgatory thing, so they're probably gonna do something with that for Season 8? I'm not sure exactly and I refuse to look at any spoiler type hints that're floating around (I'm sure there's some because some people seem like they have a better idea than others) but it's just like hmm is there an actual connectedness to all this? It'd be reeeeally hard to top the first 5 but at the same time, you'd expect a bit more? Like in 1 it was focused on finding daddy and 2 was killing Azazel and Sam's relationship with him and his powers and stuff, 3 was Dean's deal and Ruby and intro to Lilith, 4 was the seals and the blood, 5 was cleaning up the mess + stopping the Apocalypse. And then ALLLLL that was super interconnected and they tied everything together fantastically well. But Season 6 and 7 have been doing a lot of set-up for Purgatory with a decent amount of shaky plot-ness and shoving the characters through the wringer and stuff so hopefully it'll actually show us what the larger arc is about come Season 8?? There's supposed to be new characters, I think (well I'd assume so anyways THEY KILLED OFF LIKE MORE THAN HALF THE CAST.......) and one of the writers at the SDCC panel had mentioned Sam and Dean getting used to each other again and stuff so hm hm hm.
adkfjsgs oops that turned into a big ramble, but yeah! Hope it helps a bit! I think as long as you go into watching it with an open mind, you'll still love it as much as the other seasons because the writing's still witty and the characters are still the dudes we love and stuff, even if you're not exactly sure what's going on the entire time. ;v;

I'm at the end of season 5 right now and I don't want him to change. Even though he's currently lost all his angel powers. I want him to be the awkward yet earnest little turtle he's been so far.

I know what you mean. He is so earnest, so genuine and goodhearted, he's like the only angel at that point who really hasn't fucked the dog in terms of morality. He works on human morality, I guess. He's just a good, good soul, trying to look after these two dorks who don't know what the heck is goin' on half the time. And his feelings for Sam and Dean are so weird as they morph, like maybe they could be pets to him? In that way that you love your dog so much, and he's your best little friend in the world, no matter what he does wrong, and if someone ever hurt him you would literally kill them for it, and if he gets hurt you'll flip a car to save him, and if he ever bites you your feelings get hurt and you cry. You know? I mean, that relationship could be interpreted a millions ways, but that's kind of how I see it. I don't know, my dog's ear hurts, so I've been having puppy feels.

Aw! Yes! That's it! Sam and Dean are like his dogs! But not like a regular owner-dog relationship but like he SUPER LOVES his puppies! And even though they started the apocalypse and get in all kinds of trouble and frustrate him sometimes, they're his pets and no one else has any right to hurt them or be angry at them.
