Another of the angel Castiel, from Supernatural.I was looking through 's gorgeous work and feeling pretty low about my own, so I thought I'd play around with some color a little bit, and try to keep shit simple. I kind of have no idea what I'm doing, but. It's an excuse to draw Castiel, and I'm okay with that. Also, that blotty halo pattern is pure Garama . I really liked it, and wanted to try it, but I don't have a tablet, obviously, so I used Sharpie.

I dig the sharpie use. I mean really. It actually looks like some kind of brush from Photoshop. Good use of material. Also your work is inspiring. I actually try to draw in your style because its simple but has this character about it. Your work makes me go, "Draw like lily-fox. Draw like her!"

He's a goofball. Actually they all seem to be, but Jared is like the WORST offender of the goofballness.
I only talked to Misha for like five seconds, one day... I will be a director and work with him and find out how badly he is about corpsing on the job.
He did teach me and a ton of people a really neat way to tie shoes.

"Corpsing" is a film making term. Ever watch those outtakes where the actors can't stop laughing? That's Corpsing.
And yes, it is funny how Jensen is the more serious of the two actors but plays the more goofball character. They essentially have the personalities switched around. Jensen's a very private person while Jared is very outgoing and hyper like a puppy.
Misha is just crazy, if you follow his twitter or Random Acts, his charity site you'd see what we mean. Also some of the characters he's played on other shows are nuts.
I'm an avid convention goer and met a ton of people. Unfortunately I don't think I'll ever go to another SPN convention again. I don't like how Creation Entertainment manages them.

Ha! "Corsping" sounds counterdescriptive of a giggle fit, but it's still funny.
I feel bad, kind of, because if I were a celerity, I think I'd be pretty private and reserved, but seeing people who are like that makes me fall out of love with them a little. But I know, not everybody can be Mr. Entertainment, Mr. Funny all the time. That's a skill.
I've heard Misha's Twitter is pretty funny. I'll have to take a peek. And I was curious about Random Acts. There's a website for it, yeah?
So what are the conventions like? I mean, they sound like they'd be a ton of fun, and more relaxed than your average convention, but having never been to one, I couldn't say.

Jensen tends to come out of his shell around Jared from what little I have seen. They feed off each other constantly. Jensen also is still extremely nice to his fans but he's Jensen. ::Shrugs.:: I'm not sure how else to explain it. He seemed nervous to me at times when it was just him but when I broke a rule about "talking to the VIPs in autograph lines" I was able to get him to give a real smile. I had a gift for his wife, and told him about it since I wasn't able to hand him the gift personally. That got his attention and a real smile out of him from my perspective. The poor guy and his wife get a LOT of crap from "fans" of the show who attack the poor woman. Long story.
As for Creation Cons I'll talk to you about privately, I'm not very flattering of them and I don't need people pissed off at me for badmouthing one of the bigger con corporations around. Check your notes.
I tend to do Conventions close to my home and a lot of time I volunteer at them so I've been able to talk with a bunch of the celebs on a slightly more professional basis along with as a fan. When you go to the right cons they are a BLAST. I always have a ton of fun at them even when I work. I get to meet fellow geeks like me and have the ability to meet the actors I want to.
For autographs and pictures, there is always a charge, but for a majority of the time they have no problem with you waiting in line to say "hi" to the actor. I've gotten fairly close with some decent sized names in the comic business and have been blessed enough be recognized by some of my favorite actors and their handlers at certain cons.
James Marsters is a sweet heart, if you ever go to a Con and he's there, go say Hi, he loves to talk to people. Jared, like I said, is a goofball but he really does love his fans (and his wife who is a sweetheart).
Misha... I'd love to be able to talk to him for five minutes, I just have a feeling it'd end up with him making me crack up and I wouldn't be able to talk.
If you were ever a fan of the Highlander Series, Jim Byrnes who played Joe Dawson is wonderful man. He once got on my case about not getting enough rest at one of the cons... and then that same night he was telling dirty jokes around me (I was 19 at the time) and knowing that he could be raunchy around me.
I'm looking forward to Megacon 2013 in Orlando, pretty much the majority of the Star Trek: The Next Generation cast is going to be there and I've been DYING to meet LeVar Burton and thank him for helping my mom make me a reader.

Aw jeez, that's terrible than anyone would give Mrs. Ackles a hard time. Who would DO that? That's so over the line, I can't even imagine. Poor girl. I guess if I had fan who gave my husband a hard time, I'd be pretty fuckin' cranky to them, so cheers to him for not being ice cold. Man, I just can't.
I'd love to go to a con sometime, but I live in Hawaii, actually, and the only cons that come around here are anime-based. Echh. How lucky that you get to go so often, and get to actually work them! There's a level of cred there. C: Heh, some of the shenanigans I've heard from people who've met Misha Collins are pretty wonderful. The girl who showed up dressed as a human Twister game, all courteous, and he managed to cop a handful out of it. Heh heh.

Jensen's wife has a huge hatedom for some reason. I've heard some people say that she's not really nice to Jensen or the fans and has done other shady things, but when I mentioned to gift for her, his eyes lit up, so she's making him happy. Also Jensen and Jared have had stalkers and fans just crossing the line. NOT fun at all.
I've had women ask me if I was jealous of their wives and look at me weird when I say no. I'm like "They wouldn't look at me twice passing me in the street. I don't know them, I know their characters. Why would I be jealous of women who make two guys I barely know happy?" They don't get it.
My dream is to work with them and others, I want a professional and maybe friendship relationship with them. Nothing romantic. I'm not that kind of woman.
As for Misha... he's... pretty wild from what I've seen... and the girls are VERY happy to let him be... naughty.
I totally made Brent's day once (Or so he says). I read somewhere that he never got a chance to see what Puck looked like. So I printed a picture of it for him. He was so happy.
Actually, last year I learned he voiced The Joker in Young Justice and wanted to have someone do a print of all of Brent's most noticeable characters together. He told me that if I ever was able to get it, he'd want a copy.
Wanna help me with that? He's gonna be at the Con along with LeVar. I'd totally give you credit and him contact info and pay if it is not astronomical in price.

You know, you hear about someone-or-other's spouses not being nice to them ALL the time, and it's such bull. If people heard some of the stuff my husband and I say to each other, they'd think we were in hatred, but he's been my best friend since high school. My point is that people don't know squat, and some people just look for reasons to be shitty and jealous. That's just awful that anybody would behave so inappropriately to someone they claimed to have affection for. That shit ain't right. I feel like I want to write a formal apology on behalf of all crappy Supernatural fans. And if you do ever get to work with them, you give 'em a pat on the back for all us fans who want to make the fandom a nice experience for them, too. Good on you.
Ha! I would say Misha behaves badly, but he's just sayin' what we're all thinking. I've got a filthy mind, I'm just constrained by shame. If Misha Collins feels no such constraints, all the better for him.
Aw, you made Brent Spiner happy! C: That makes me so happy. I can't believe he'd never watch Gargoyles, at least the episodes with Puck in them. When you say a print of all the characters together, do you mean individuals drawings of each character, or all the characters in one drawing? If you make me a list of characters, I might be able to help. Actually, I know a couple great artists who are HUGE fans of his, and one -- Bri Garcia -- who is particularly good at doing series-accurate gargoyles. Maybe it could be a multi-artist party type thing!

As for Brent, I kind of want it to be a group picture. I was thinking something like having Puck, Data, Joker, Dr. Okun, and Bob Wheeler the hick from Nightcourt together in one showing. They're the characters of his I know and most likely his most famous.
If you could get Bri Garcia on board with this I would DIE and love you forever, she's my favorite Gargoyle and Disney Fan Artist. If I had known about her when I lived in LA I would have tracked her down to thank her in person.
The biggest thing is that I would need the picture before March, that's when the con is. You think we might be able to do it?
