For as part of a doodle trade. : DI know it was supposed to be JUST a doodle, but Apollo, this handsome cocky bastard, demanded that I present him in at least some monocolor glory or he'd burn my house down... go fig.

He's kindda similar, his ego is just huge and he thinks he's all powerful. He's a cyborg but he honest to god believes that he is a god. The doctor who made him wiped out his memories and filled his head with the idea that he was a god and could judge humanity for wether it needs to be destroyed or not.

Apollo is usually mr. perfect who sits around in his sun chariot writing poetry and junk, being god of the sun, poetry, and (sometimes) medicine...
Why not just use Ares' name instead of Apollo's. It would make more sense to Greek myth junkies like me. D>

This was post war Japan, western ideas were pretty frowned on at this time. He might have only had access to vague information, and then he had to use what he had to design cyborg characters around the vague knowledge he had. He didn't have a Zeus cyborg so Apollo was kind of like their stand in leader. It seemed like maybe Ishinomori might have only known that Apollo was god of the sun. In the 2001 version his sister Artemis appears, but in the original comic Artemis isn't there. It's Helen of Troy, and she's close with the giant robot Atlas and Pan the little satyr. I don't think he was as well versed in mythology as you and me are. But you're right. the Disney company has way less of an excuse than some old Japanese guy from the 1950s.

Of all the gods he was the most loyal husband, and she DID love him once she got to know him and he was GRACIOUS enough to let her live apart from him for half the freakin' year! I dunno, I think the myth said he was infatuated with her and one of the other gods was being a jack ass and said to Heph, "Hey man, I was talking with Athena, and she said that she DOES really dig you, and that she's coming over for a visit tomorrow." And then went to Athena and talked her into visiting Heph, but she didn't know what was going on, so by the time she got there he was already ultra horney and he just jumped her, but because she's BAMF he didn't have sex with her and just came on her leg... and she was PISSED! So used a rag, wiped it off and chucked it angrily on the ground and stormed off, but it impregnanted Gaia and SHE gave birth to something, I can't remember what.

We actually got to look at the machines today. Our's was kindda broke, but the lesson was still able to go on as planned. :3 I'm actually kindda excited about this, though I probably won't be of much help when people have trouble with the machines or with their ballots because a republican and a democrat have to be there to make sure everything goes fairly in nearly everything, so with me being an independent I would have to find both bastards to help the person out. BUT I can deffo sign people in. : D Which is kind of what I hope I get assigned to do.
