BTW. This happened because a little girl just came into work with a gorgeous dress on with butterflies all over it. I told it was pretty and she proceded to tell me why butterflies were the prettiest animals in the world.Lepidoptequine

Other information
- More than one Lepidoptequine can represent the same species of moth or butterfly as they can never be identical.
- They always have a membrane-esque patterning over their main colouration
- They shimmer ever so slightly slightly in the light.
- The coat of the Lepidoptequine can either take after the closed wing pattern/colouration, or open wing pattern/colouration, never both.
- Their makings are generally symmetrical on either side.
Breeding
- Breeding two Lepidoptequine together will normally result in the foal looking like one or the other of it's parents.
- There is a 75% chance that the foal will take after it's dam.
- There is a 20% chance that the foal will take after it's sire.
- There is a 5% chance that the foal will look the a different species altogether.
- Despite this 5% chance, the foal will always be a similar colouration to one of it's parents.
- When bred to a non-Lepidoptequine, the foal will take traits from both parents.
- A half Lepidoptequine foal will not have a white mane, tail and hooves, unless it's Lepidoptequine parent and non-Lepidoptequine both share this trait.

Hi there, I'm really looking into making one of these and I've got a quick question about the genetics.
How do the normal genotypes apply? Such as, a normal bay horse might have Ee/AA. What would, say, a Monarch Lepidoptequine have to show for genotypes?

They don't so much "get taken". There can be more than one of each butterfly, but there markings will be different
