I was a bit disappointed when the Marie was just singing to try to un-hypnotize Callie. Don't get me wrong, I feel like it was a homage to the last splatfest in Splatoon and I liked it, but I was expecting Marie to fight Callie while the player fought DJ Octavio.

she's brainwashed; because in Chapter 3 of the Online Squid Sister Stories that lead up to Splatoon 2, CALLIE HAD NO ILL WILL TOWARDS MARIE!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree with that which is why I made this sfm poster however it's focused about Marie self loathing herself. Since she does in the Squid Sister Stories.
