Finally, my submission for KamikazeKayti's Backseat Bettie Contest!I chose the 50's Pin-up Bettie, because most of the other good themes were taken, but i could definitely find a way to make one in this theme, hehe.
As you can see i've just sorta emulated from the most famous 50s pin-up model but with Bettie, and my own touch!
And i had to look up a proper 50's woman's hairstyle because the one i had originally wasn't quite satisfying as a 50's look. I think this one works, though.

Aww, thank you very much! It's definitely one of the main reasons i stick to it (besides drawing curvy women being fun, of course, hehe). My greatest hope is that a girl will come by my art, say, "Hey, that's MY body! I'm sexy and beautiful, too? Kick ass!" and feel 100% better about herself. There's too much ignorant negativity in this world towards women who don't fit a paris hilton mold - and it sickens me to my stomach. So, i fight back with my portrayals of big women as beautiful, self-confident, and sexy, to just give that hope to someone. I know how that feels (in a completely different way) when someone out there thinks the same way you do when you know no one else around who does ... or someone who appreciates you in the same situation.
