Description
A play-off of Adam and Eve. I wanted to shoot an Adam but haven't gotten around to it yet. This was hung at Pinot Gallery in Philadelphia, PA for a few months.
*update* I'm REMOVING the warning on this image for nudity. I don't find a sexual theme and I've gotten many comments about it not being worth warning. If you DO take offense just let me know and I'll put it right back up!

Just a bit of background. This was not meant to be a LITERAL interpretation. I took inspiration from the Bible, but also from Rapunzel, Sleeping Beauty, and other parts of my life.

I really love this photo and the whimsy of it, but I didn't get Adam and Eve when I first saw it, I actually thought it had something to do with Avalon, because its known as the Isle of Apples. And apples are associated with faeries in general, but I love how you conceptualized the image, its original and TIMELESS (something usually not associated with Eve.

Really?? Wow, it turned out really beautifully! Such 3d feel to it, very nice post processing also. It is great to see an image excel like this even when it's a part of a learning experience, just goes to show how great art can be created without too many fancy things like perfect light, pro camera and such. This is an amazing picture, it caught my eye so well. i absolutely am in love with it. i only have one suggestion for improvement... make her toenails and fingernails match...? sorry that just stuck out a little to me, but i really think this is an awesome photo. great job

The fact that you see Eve's hair as being that long is MIND BLOWING!

Haha thank you! I'm not sure about genius since it's so long in a lot of my fav paintings but I didn't see her having a modern haircut since they were alone without a barber nearby.

Is there a reason why you went with green rather than the more common 'red' apple? I think it's really interesting- I may write a critique/essay thing on it after XD lovely model, as well- the pose you have her in is wonderful and very... memorable? Powerful? I can't remember the word.

Well I had considered red for a bit but honestly nobody was there in the garden of Eden and there's been so many disputes on what fruit it really was that I decided that I prefer green so it's going to be green. I thought the green and goldish tones would better accentuate her blonde wig and tan skin. If she were pale and I'd used a dark wig then maybe I'd have chosen red to balance out the cooler palette. I try to really consider my colors before I go into things. My bedroom in that apartment was lime green. I mean LIME. So seeing that against my pine floors every day I got to really loving the combination.
