Description *squee* (Sorry, this just makes me laugh every time I see it... XD I think it's that mix of "feminine apparel" with that "I'm such a badass" smirk... )

My FIRST "FullMetal Alchemist" FANART!! Tell me the guy ain't cute. Come on. Tell me. *cracks knuckles*

Good Gawd, I can't tell you what a horrid nightmare it is to draw this guy's hair. I mean, not just drawing it, but INKING ALL THAT is torture!!! (Yes, I inked all that hair in. It took me 4 days. ) But at least it was FUN to color on the computer! :3 (Sadly, that "fun" only lasted about 15 minutes... )

Also, just for good measure, I included some of the lyrics to Linkin Park's "Numb" faded into the BG, since I think the lyrics sorta sound like him... (Me? Linkin Park? I wonder if I can ever earn back the forgiveness among my beloved new age, country, and anime music communities... *sniffle*)


....I wonder if I could pull off cosplaying as him at my next con... (Yes, I know he's a male in the show. But he's a shapeshifter that can't remember his original form, so he might be a girl. Really, he could be. Shut up. Bite me. )

Haha, thanks so much!! (Ohoho, tell me about it. Even after drawing him for...what? A year and a half? I STILL hate drawing his hair. I mean, it's an awesome hairstyle, but an ungodly nightmare to actually draw. I swear, Arakawa-sama must've been trying to deterr fanartists when she designed this guy. ._.)

Ah, I've drawn it several times, and it STILL is a massive pain! XD
(And been there, done that! I cosplayed him about a year and a half ago! ....and naturally, the wig nearly weighed-down my head. O_o;; It was so heavy that it actually kept shifting on my head, and I kept having to pull it back into place so my real hair didn't show. )

Well, I saw all the 1st season of FMA except the last one. The last episode I saw was when Hunghes died and the latest one I saw was when Wrath was found by Envy and he gave him some red stones to munch on.

I wux Plawm Twees they're the best and much better than Midgets! And sexier too. Even though there hair is a pian to draw.
And am also working on an Envy cosplay thing, and for the hair I'm using Hairgel, Hairwax, and Haigum, Hairspray. I would strongly suggest large amounts of all three (The only reason I know this is because when I went as Sanosuke last year, I put all of the mentioned above in my hair. And about after five hours of putting it all in, my hair was so hard and caked with gunk you could bend it and it would crunch and stay! So I really had the Sano hair. I'm thinking about getting up twice as early when I'm doing my hair for Envy since it has to be chuncked... fun)

XD Yep! I'm actually a fan of both, buuuut "plawm twees" (Good Lord... O.o Try saying that 3 times fast...) ARE more fun! XD Taller too, and I tend to have a bit of a height complex with my bishies... >.>;;

Good Lord... I'll never get all that stuff out of my hair if I use all THAT! o.0;; (I can only imagine how stiff that would be! XD I've just got 2 types of hair gel and about 2 cans of hairspray at my disposal... )

^^ Well, he IS a shapeshifter though... So he might be a girl! (Actually, from how I understand it, he can't remember his original form, so he just takes the one we see in the show... So I guess he's a male NOW anyway... XD)

How CUTE!! You need to get pictures, I'd love to see how she turns! X3 (I'm thinking of growing my hair out and going as him for the next con I go to, since I'm already going as Priss Asagiri from "Bubblegum Crisis" to this year's con in May... ...Drat.)

Actually, there are pictures of her - not sure what's on line so far, but she dressed as Envy at Ohayocon back in January and I believe my middle daughter does have some pictures up on her website ([link] ). Hopefully it won't be down for bandwidth (her convention pictures have been playing major havoc with her bandwidth limit so she's in the process of moving them to another site and just linking to them from the main site). It was up and running when I checked just a few minutes ago, though. Check her Ohayocon 2005 pictures and you should be able to find them there.

Oh, awesome! Great work on her outfit, she pulls off the "Envy" look pretty well!
I'm hopefully gonna cosplay as him next year, green hair and everything... (Hopefully, I can grab a tube of green-tinted hair gel before Spring Break and use that week to practice with it before I decide to grow my hair out that much... o.0;; )
But her photos were amazing! ^^ And that one person really does look like Ed also, especially in the photo where they took the glasses off... ^.^

Yeah, not bad for a ten-minute costume that didn't cost anything but the cost of the hair gel. We'll have to do something to make her hair green for the costume (or get a wig), but that was really thrown together spur-of-the-moment so I think it turned out pretty good. We'll be revamping it for Acen - actually make things for it and not just cut up old clothing.

So, what conventions do you plan on attending? It would be great to meet up. (*druihd was at Kunicon and we got to spend some time with her - she even shared our hotel room for a bit.)

Wow! Are you serious? You fixed that costume up that quickly? That's amazing! You did such a great job on it! (I'm lazy, I'm having to commission someone down in Florida to make mine... I can't sew worth a hoot... *nervous laugh*)
I'll have to get a tube of the green hair gel next week and practice with it over Spring Break-- I'll need a while to grow my hair out that long too, so I won't be doing an Envy cosplay until next year... *sniff*

Actually, my 17-year-old daughter put it together for my 13-year old with things we had here at home. We're going to fix it up better and make her hair green for the next one.

No chance of you making Otakon in Baltimore, MD? We're aiming for that one. It's end of July/beginning of August.
