This is a fantastic costume design.
The fading of colors from dark in the center to bright at the hands and feet, the dynamic lines to break up and give form to the torso, the evocative silhouette with those shoulders, the fiery-but-feminine treatment of the helmet, the contrasting visor, and the asymmetric placement of the stellar emblems all combine to make this really, really good.
I bet the back has a solar decoration on the opposite hip, one at the top of the back, and matching dynamic lines down the back and onto the back of the legs.
