they're hard to tell from each other
but pinophilus usually is more reddish and has a white "ring" around his hat

in northern countries pinophilus is seldom
I'm sure it is Boletus edulis

The Mushroom site about mushrooms in my country would disagree, though, it saysΒ "It is widespread in coastal areas" ( www.fungi.lv/boletus_pinophiluβ¦), and my woods could be considered pretty close to the Baltic Sea. It's mostly pines and almost dune-like sandy hills here.
Anyways, I titled it as "Cep" 'cause I thought it looks more like edulis, too.

I've been gathering mushrooms since I was little. I used to know only a few edible ones, the ones I was taught is safe to gather, and I knew which ones are definitely deadly. I started "studying" mushrooms pretty recently when I got obsessed with mushroom photography and made a blog dedicated to that.
