Apophysis7x - Photoshop for minor brightness adjustments and layout.So... this is what happens when you try to bring "old-school" flames in 3d. Each one of these flames had a different special detail that made me wish to publish them all, but they were extremely similar in structure soooo... I made a triptych

How on earth do you do the particles in Apophysis? Seriously...this has been bugging me for some time. They are so perfect with your pieces but I have no idea how to recreate the effect!

In 2d flames, where depth blur doesn't work, you can add to the blank transforms small values of gaussian blur (like 0.01 or similar). The effect will be slightly different but nice nevertheless.
I usually set their colour speed at 1, and always keep their weight very low!

They look very alive - the blurring is like an action shot taken with too slow of a shutter speed. Are they contagious? Are you okay after falling off your chair?
