Description First thing I saw when I first saw the scribble I was working with, which shows how uncreative I am. I mean really, another creature/monster/ fish thing? How original!

Anyways, I had fun with this in the 5 hours it took me to finish, and it was entirely inspired by Shark Week (although it looks nothing like one, ha ha). The goal was to explore values among weird shapes and not create a believable creature by any means; however, I still need work on both fields.

Just in case for those who can't see it, the scribble lines define some of the head and features of the gills/fins to the bottom right; I left them pretty obvious for people to see (even though it butchers it :<).

your sense of shading and lighting is probably THE best I have seen as of yet: You manage to make your subjects look so real with such little detail compared to the lengths others go to to draw something life-like.

Well thank you very much. Honestly I was one of those people before, trying to squeeze in every detail that I could, but then I discovered textured brushes.

You are doing your research, I do Greyscales first, then go into colour. You've got a good hand at drawing going.

yeah i know what you mean i didn't really use the lines and yours is one of the few which i think deserves to win a place in this contest a lot of people like me just do a drawing and then add the lines but what you did is something amazing i honestly hope you win well good luck ,im actually trying to come up with something but its hard and thanks for checking it out

I've never touched a shark, but seeing this will make me feel like I did at some point in my life and i wont know why.
I cant imagine what the skribble looks like but if you saw this creature than you have an One Awesome Third Eye!

This is Great! Nice use of the lines as they're there twice and fit in perfectly. A lot of the other entries seem like the lines are forced in, your piece truly utilizes them. Wonderful texturing too. Especially around the face.
