Description
Wanted to do a rather neutral color piece depicting what I'm feeling right now.. decided to go for the porcelain style to show fragileness ^^ Hope I got the feeling thru to the picture
Really had fun doing the violin and the background as well (many references were used ^^) good practice ^_^

Wow... great job as usual. heh. I love how even her steps are uncertain... yep, she's lost. The illusion of a large structure seems to amplify that effect... looks like there's no one to ask for directions or anything there.
I may be kinda weird for mentioning this, but how did you color the bg? I like to do backgrounds, but never seem to pull off the effects I want to express... I like how the sun gets in, but not too far in... and the look of the tiles are pretty cool too. ^^

I used a photo reference to help understand the lighting better ^^. I basically studied the photo and tried to observe where the shadows were and where the lights were.. then I just blocked off the areas for dark and light.. and once that was done, start adding in the small details like textures colour variations etc ^^ Sorry I'm not very good at explaining

no, no, it's ok. ^^ I usually do things by memory... maybe i should use more photo references...
The textures of certain objects is what i want to get in my works, but i just seem to just use the photoshop filters of noise and blur to do everything.....
