Splitface would be right at home in a first person shooter horror game, wouldn't he? Oh man I love those. xD

Definitely.
I would... if I was good at those, and I am not xDD
I like games like Final Fantasy and Legend of the Dragoon.

Man on man the (earlier) Final Fantasy games really bring back memories. So does Legend of Dragoon. I've also enjoyed the Tales series. One of my favorites is Tales of Destiny. That game is super hard to find but the characters, visuals and soundtrack are beautiful!

Yeah the earlier ones rocks, but I dug 7-12 xDD
I don't think I played ToD :3
Sounds awesome though.

7,8, and 9 were probably the absolute best, bar none out of the whole series. I honestly wish they stopped after 10. xD
My main beef in those games is the turn based fighting. In the Tales Series, there's realistic, albeit randomly generated fights.
Another good series is Chrono Trigger. Most games that old are usually sold for five bucks or less in a bargain bin, but every time I see Chrono Trigger for sale it's at least forty dollars.

Yeah, I was confused about 10-2 (was that considered 11??)
12 is pretty good, never tried FF13.
Yeah, that was weird about it honestly.
12 doesn't have that feature though, it's more free ground, I like it.
Yeah last I saw they were selling FF7 for fucking $75...

Wow no video game is worth 75 dollars. At that point you're basically paying for a brand name. The most I've ever paid for a video game was eighty dollars BUUUTTT it included an art book, behind the scenes dvd and a tin lunchbox.

I'm honestly kinda torn on spending lots of money on art books. I really think art should be accessible to everyone regardless of social class but the price is kinda merited sometimes by the weight and texture of the paper.
Oh, I forgot to mention said game was "Fallout 3" and one of the other things I got is a cute little Pip-boy bobblehead figure that sits next to the alien and white dragon on my desk. The price was worth it because I got loads of enjoyment out of not just the game but all the other collectibles. Spending money is enjoyable when it's for material things I actually get material enjoyment from.
One game I honestly consider better than FF7 is Half Life. People may still play FF7 every so often but the actual fanbase for Half Life, this fourteen year old game, is still.active.to.this.day. Do ya think Homestuck Adventure Time tards are gonna remember their beloved series, and do you think people are still gonna joke about taking arrows to knees fourteen years from now? The game also pretty much directly inspired Counterstrike, Team Fortress, and Portal.
In spite of that, I would not pay more than twenty dollars. In fact it only costs about five on Steam atm. Video games are not fucking made of diamonds.

Yeah the price on them are irritating sometimes.
Never tried out any of those listed games but I definitely heard of Half Life.

Alright, I kinda checked out Homestuck, but I thought it was REALLY lame.
I couldn't sit through 30 seconds...
Wtf is so great about it??

And I agree that they're not made of diamonds.
There's so fucking many!!
D:
Have you ever heard of/played Legend of the Dragoon?

I'm really not quite sure what Homestuck is, the plot moves so slowly it's "stuck" in molasses.
It's a "point and click adventure", albeit one where you really have no choice. It's also a mixed media comic combining images, text and Flash.
So many artist websites have been doing this since the dawn of (internet)time. Yet people talk as if Homestuck is the coolest most original thing.
I really wish I could qualify for a grant so I research how certain art styles and techniques can be used for practically centuries, yet remain obscure, but one lucky person who basically just copies becomes uber-popular.
Among nerds/geeks, there's also a sort of geek chain reaction. If a really popular nerd or DA artist or what have you likes something, it's suddenly liked by their fanbois.
And I have played Legend of the Dragoon when I was younger, but unfortunately found parts of it too frustrating to finish. But I was reaalllly dumb when it came to navigating dungeons and honestly still am.

Sounds lame. I have always liked those kinds of webiste, but when it's THAT interactive, it's a tad bit too childish for my liking.
OMG right? You should xDD
Dude, I have been noticing more and more daily, it's ridiculous.
Some of those artists are too popular to even be nice to me, but they're nice to everyone else. Don't wanna sound like I am whining, but it's kind of some bullshit. W/e I am content with my circle, I just really like to share and learn techniques and what not. But I have come to realize how fucking close minded a lot of these dA ppl are, they rip off of "successful" artists that rip off of REALLY successful artists. O_O LAME LAME LAME!!
We should start an "underground traditional art fantasy group" xD for underground badasses like us.
OMG I played it when I was younger too, I got stuck at the Virage!
But then I played it again in high school and got WAY farther, almost to the 3rd disc, but I think somehow a certain branch of the production of the game got fucked cuz I talked to others about it and they had the same problem.
You fight the 2nd elemental dragon with her Dragoon, and then once you beat her it's onto the 3rd disc, but then it malfunctions!!! SO LAME!!
It's such a fun game, to me at least haha!

I've totally noticed what you're talking about among the Portal fanartists. Now, I don't expect you to know Portal, but you've probably seen fanart of "human" GLaDos. A popular artist who actually works for Valve drew a human version first. That's hunky dory! But it's so painfully obvious that whenever someone draws a severe looking older woman with yellow eyes and a sharp white haircut they're copying this artist.
I could complain about the "human version" fanart from all sorts of fandoms, but let me know if you actually wanna hear it first! It might have to be a whole separate journal!
It sucked that your game malfunctioned though! Is that a known issue with the game though? You should research that because some nerd, FSM bless them, has probably canoodled some way around it.
For Tales of Destiny, I actually couldn't progress past a point where you have to enter the right numbers into a computer. Due to translation errors the numbers you find in the dungeon are actually wrong, so I gave myself a hernia that blissful summer trying random combos.
I totally support underground art and we could be cofounders and start that new group! I think that'd be oodles of fun!

Human versions of characters confuse me a bit.
LOL oh my.
Dude, we should forreals.
BUT FIRST, I need to catch up on my AT's and stuff.
