Since there weren't dire horses by the sea, I made a small relative to take their place. They aren't big or strong enough for the Na'Vi to ride, but they fill the grazer niche both on land and in shallow water.Avatar (c) James Cameron

These actually have the look of the South American camels (vicuΓ±as, guanacos and such). The long legs and spreading toes would make sense in a sandy or shallow-water setting; it'd keep them from sinking into the soft ground. I imagine them eating kelp and whatever small invertebrates might be clinging to it, as well as the softer beach grasses. Yes; quite a believable creature for that environment. Congrats!

A little bit yeah. Well they eat mainly with their tongues but they're vegetarians.
