Princess Sibylla of Saxen-Coburg and Gotha (18 January 1908 - 28 November 1972) was the first daughter and second child of Charles Edward , Duke of Saxen-Coburg and Gotha and Princess Victoria Adelaide of Schleswig-Holstein. She would marry her second cousin Prince Gutaf Adolf of Sweden, son of Crown Prince Gustav Adolf (Later Gustav VI Adolf) and Princess Margaret of Connaught onn the on 19 October/20 October 1932 in Coburg. They had together 5 children, 4 girls know as the Hagasessorna and 1 boy which is the current king of Sweden Carl XVI Gustaf. They lived happy together at Haga when on the 26 of January 1947 the airplane in which the Prince Gustaf Adolf was sitting in crashed at Kastrup airfield in Copenhage, left at Haga castle was the widowed Princess Sibylla with her five children, the 12 year old Margaretha, the 10 year old Birgitta, the 8 year old Dèsirée, the 3 year old Christina and 9 moth old Carl Gustaf.
She lived happy dispite the death of her husband the wish to see her son ascend to the throne of Sweden was something she really wanted to see in life. But she died of cancer on the 28 of November 1972, she was not give the chance to see her son become the king Carl XVI Gustaf as he was not crowned king until the 15 September 1973 almost a year after his mothers death.
