Raven (Corvus corax)

We had a task at school to create an additional organ to the human body from metal and wood. I chose to do a wing of a very thin copper sheet, which would improve hearing.

The top feather is made from a thicker copper sheet and soldered to the base (copper wire). The remaining feathers are mechanically fastened to the base with links of copper wire. This gives it more movement. The wooden bead (a head of a raven) is handmade. I heated the copper and then let it cool down to get the burnt color I wanted.
