The three rock needles known together under the name Reynisdrangar. But each one also has its own name, which is "Skessudrangur", "Landdrangur" and "Langsamur". A legend reports that trolls wanted to bring a ship ashore and were petrified.Related content

Hawaii has a legend about troll-like inhabitants who preceded the humans. They,too, avoided sunlight. One band, worked too long on some carving project, stopped to look at their work -and the sun came up ! The statue-like rock formations are seen to this day.

This looks amazing!! It reminds me of my childhood when I would play The Legend of Zelda: Windwaker. It was so exciting to discover a faraway island; they looked foggy like this until you got close enough to see clearly. c:
