Description In the vicinity of Vík í Mýrdal on Iceland black basalt stacks stand out of the sea. They are known as Reynisdrangar, of which they are fossilized trolls. They are called "Skessudrangur", "Laddrangur" and "Langhamar". According to legend, they were petrified at sunrise while they tried to land.

This is REALLY GOOD. The Third rock from the left as you look at it, You can see the face if it is wearing a helmet. Kind of like a Skull Rock thing going on there.

Well done. Backlit rocks are spooky, and you caught the lacy wave swash perfectly. They may be volcanic feeder pipes, which typically are much more resistant to erosion than the eruptive materials surrounding them.
