I love the focussing you use here. It's enough to pick up all the details of the kitten's fur, and leaves the background yummily blurred. I like the monochrome effect, but I'm not sure if I would have picked blue. Blue always makes me think of sadness and coolness and the kitten seems more vibrant and playful.
A great picture though!
