So here's Roan again. Her powers are obviously shadow based with a few unique quirks such as their thorny appearance and the fact that these shadowy tendrils are very tangible and quite capable of piercing skin.

Upon becoming a Pawn a person's physical appearance will change in some small ways such as pointed ears, strange hair and eye and sometimes even skin colors to name a few.

The nature of a Pawn's power is also based upon their personality/inner self. Example Time: Auryn's powers over wind and air is unsurprisingly due to his rather reckless and mischievous personality.

Pawns also get a huge boost to their lifespan, they still age of course but it slows to an almost glacial rate once they reach maturity. Granted due to the incredibly dangerous nature of their work and the competition between certain Dragonlords and their Pawns this lifespan is also drastically shortened in terms of survival rate. The oldest living Pawn in recorded history was Byron the Bulwark who lived a whopping total of 257 years till he made the unfortunate mistake of carving his initials in the hide of a tree-like mimicbeast.
