Pictured above are the joint rulers of Kingdom of Shu Han, one of the Three Kingdoms that make up Equestria's Orient.

Lord Liu Bay (based off the actual Shu Han figure Liu Bei) is the defacto ruler of the Chinese ponies and commands the greater Imperial Army in the name of the Empress. Liu Bay is widely beloved by his ponies as the ideal benevolent, humane ruler who cares deeply for his subjects. He is a strict adherent to the Confucian set of moral values, such as loyalty and compassion.

Alongside him is his daughter, Chang'e (based off the actual Chinese lunar deity Chang'e). Her cutie mark symbol is that of the Jade or Lunar Rabbit and the Moon, both important parts of legend behind her name.
