Before he was named Patroklos, Mewtwo was created by Dr. Fuji who was hired by Team Rocket fourteen years to be the world's strongest Pokémon. Dr. Fuji and his team succeeded, but it was at the cost of their lives when Mewtwo believed that they saw him more as a result than a sentient life form. He was taken by Giovanni Ketchum to "help" him control his powers and he took in his offer and stayed with him for the past couple of weeks, until Giovanni revealed his twisted plans that pushed Mewtwo to believed that all humans were manipulative creatures and vows to use his power to destroy them. During his reign on an island he settled in he tricked some of the trainers, including Ash and his friends during his journey in Kanto, and a battle ensued where the selfless act from Ash concluded the fight between Mewtwo and Mew. Because of it, Mewtwo now became less hostile towards the humans before wiping out their memories of the events that transpired and taking the cloned Pokémon he created somewhere safe.
  Since then, Mewtwo has been traveling across the world with the goal of protecting Pokémon who've been abandoned by cruel trainers and secretly helping kind trainers when endangered. It was when he encountered another Mewtwo, this time created by Colress and Team Plasma, with the help of Ash and Monarch to stop the team before the scientist joined King Ghidorah in his goal of conquering the planet. While Mewtwo doesn't trust Monarch because of the "scientific" group, he was told to have a temporary alliance with them and help Ash and his friends to stop the three-headed dragon and his growing army. After catching up with the Kantonese trainer, Ash decided to give the Legendary Pokémon a name: Patroklos. To which, Mewtwo took the name as a sign of his fondness of the selfless boy he grew to respect.

And here's the third Pokémon in my (soon-to-be rewrite) Pokken'verse/Battle of the Gods fanfic: Mewtwo. And I know Legendary Pokémon (with a few exceptions) don't have genders, but in this AU, they do and also OG!Mewtwo was voiced by a male. Also, the reason why I gave him the name Patroklos is it's from the Trojan War mythology, where Patroklos is a close friend to Achilles. In a way, this name is probably a good idea for the growing bond between Ash and OG!Mewtwo in this crossover. This idea is still going to be in the rewrite and many of the other ideas that I've yet to get to. Hope you guys like it
